SolarEdge Electrical System

First, there is a breaker in your main electric panel that needs to be switched to “on”. This is marked with a red label and needs to be pointing in the direction of the bus bar.

Then, Turn the DC disconnect (black dial in the center of the lower half of the inverter) to the ON position.

AC Disconnect (not on all systems)

Finally, there may be an AC disconnect between your electrical panel and your system that needs to be turned “on” which is UP. The one in my photo is currently turned “off”.

After we are powered on, you will receive an invitation to access your solar system’s production through the SolarEdge portal. This usually takes about 24-48 hours to arrive. After your inverter connects to the internet, SolarEdge automatically begins tracking and reporting your site’s performance. Before you can register, you need to ensure that SolarEdge email isn’t getting stuck in your SPAM folder. Add DoNotReply@solaredge.com to your contacts and watch for a registration email with the subject line: Registration to SolarEdge Monitoring Portal

SolarEdge has an excellent customer support team you are welcome to call if you have techncial questions about your SolarEdge system.

Congratulations on your journey to energy independence!
