In our latest effort to enhance the best customer experience in solar, we recently launched our Virtual Home Visit process. This allows us to review with the customer the engineering design or ‘Plan Set’ within a few business days. We can then move forward quickly by submitting for any permits and ordering the equipment for the installation. The Virtual Home Visit is a simple process that allows us to design and engineer your custom installation faster and more accurately without having to send a technician to your home. The process takes just a few minutes and can be completed entirely on your mobile device.
How is the Virtual Home Visit different?
Historically, after a homeowner decides to go solar, a technician would be sent to the home to conduct a site assessment. The technician would verify the material, measurements and condition of the roof as well as note the locations of things like rafters, meters, and breaker boxes. This information is used to develop an engineering Plan Set.
With a Virtual Home Visit, you conduct your own site assessment, and we use technology to get the exact measurements and do the shading analysis. Our design tool has proven to be more accurate than a human using a tape measure, as it eliminates human error. By sending us a few pictures and simple pieces of information, you give us all the information we need to complete a Plan Set for your review and approval.
