An update from Zenernet to our customers as COVID-19 surges

How we’re keeping our homeowners and employees safe and maintaining our commitment to the best customer experience in solar. 

At Zenernet, delivering the best customer experience in solar is our guiding principle. This year has been a challenging one in many ways, but that principle remained the same throughout it. As the end of the year approaches and the COVID-19 pandemic continues to surge, we sent the following message to homeowners in the process of solar installation with us.

As we near the end of this tumultuous year, we are experiencing an acceleration in the spread of COVID-19 across the country. We knew a situation like this was a strong possibility, and we are prepared to navigate it with the safety and well-being of our homeowners, employees, and installation partners as our top priority.

This recent trend has triggered a number of new or enhanced contact restriction orders, including one in California. We expect these orders to slow down our permitting, procurement, and installation processes. 

Unfortunately, this will prevent us from installing many of our in-flight projects in time to claim the full 26% value of the Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC) before it steps down to 22% on January 1, 2021. 

At Zenernet, we take pride in delivering the best customer experience in solar, which includes great financial value and a smooth, rapid installation process. Although the pandemic has presented many challenges, we remain committed to this standard. 

This is why we’ve decided to guarantee the full 26% value of the tax credit for all installations currently in progress. If we are unable to complete your installation before the Dec. 31 deadline to claim the 26% value, we’ll take an additional 4% off your project to make up the difference. 

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and do all we can to move forward with our installation projects, while ensuring the health and safety of our employees and homeowners and complying with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
